Execution in MattDOM

MattDOM supports one-click execution across Bitunix, Coinbase, Nado, BloFin, Hyperliquid, and PopDex directly from valid bid-side and ask-side price rows. Orders are live and are sent without a confirmation dialog, so read this guide before connecting an account.

1. Prepare safer exchange credentials

Create dedicated credentials for each venue you connect to MattDOM.

Recommended settings:

  • Enable account reading and trading only.
  • Do not enable withdrawals.
  • Apply an IP allowlist containing only the MattCharts server IP when the venue supports it.
  • Use separate credentials instead of reusing a key or wallet from another trading application.
  • Start with small size while learning the controls.

Bitunix, Coinbase, and BloFin use exchange API credentials. Nado, Hyperliquid, and PopDex use a private or agent key and may also require an account address or subaccount. Prefer a dedicated API or agent wallet whenever the venue supports one.

MattDOM encrypts stored secrets on the server. A saved secret is never returned to your browser.

2. Connect and select execution venues

  1. Open MattDOM while signed in to your premium account.
  2. Open VENUES in the top toolbar.
  3. Select MANAGE beside the venue you want to connect.
  4. Enter the credentials requested for that venue.
  5. Select VERIFY & SAVE and wait for its status to show LIVE.
  6. Enable every venue that should receive your ladder orders.

MattDOM verifies credentials against the selected venue before saving them. A selected venue receives orders only when it is both connected and available for the displayed symbol. If multiple venues are enabled, one ladder action queues a separate order for every available selected venue.

Venue Market type Credential notes
Bitunix Perpetuals API key and secret
Coinbase Spot CDP key name and EC private key
Nado Perpetuals Private key and subaccount
BloFin Perpetuals API key, secret, and passphrase
Hyperliquid Perpetuals Private or agent key and account address
PopDex Perpetuals Private or agent key; account address is optional

To replace credentials, save the new values over the old connection. To remove them, open the venue's dialog and select DISCONNECT.

3. Set order size

Enter the desired quantity in SIZE (COIN). Size is always the base coin, not USDT notional.

Examples:

  • On BTC-USD, 0.001 means 0.001 BTC.
  • On ETH-USD, 0.05 means 0.05 ETH.

Each venue determines its own minimum size, maximum size, precision, margin requirements, and supported symbols. MattDOM validates known venue rules before submission and displays a rejection when a size or symbol is invalid.

Changing symbols does not automatically change the size field. Always recheck size before clicking.

4. Click execution map

You can click anywhere horizontally across a valid price row. The row's price determines whether it is on the ask side or bid side.

Price side Left click Right click
Ask side Market buy Limit sell at the clicked price
Bid side Market sell Limit buy at the clicked price

Rows inside the spread and rows without a valid positive price do nothing.

Market orders

A left click submits a market order for the selected coin size. The clicked price chooses the direction, but it does not cap the fill price. A market order may fill across multiple prices during volatility or thin liquidity.

Limit orders

A right click submits a good-till-canceled limit order at the displayed row price:

  • Right-click an ask-side row to offer a limit sell.
  • Right-click a bid-side row to place a limit buy.

Because MattDOM groups prices for display, a clicked row can contain more decimal places than a venue accepts. MattDOM applies the venue's supported price precision before submission.

Limit-order ladders

Hold the right mouse button and drag across multiple price rows. MattDOM previews every valid layer, then queues one good-till-canceled limit order per highlighted row when you release:

  • Ask-side layers are limit sells.
  • Bid-side layers are limit buys.
  • Rows inside the spread are skipped.
  • The value in SIZE (COIN) is used at every layer. It is not divided across the ladder.
  • One drag is capped at 50 valid levels. Each layer creates one order for every available selected venue.

Dragging upward or downward controls submission order. Check the total coin size and notional exposure across all layers before releasing the button.

5. Confirm that an order was accepted

After submission, MattDOM shows a notification containing the venue, order type, side, quantity, and order ID when available.

An accepted limit order is not necessarily filled. It may remain open, partially fill, or be canceled later. A market order can also receive final fill details after its initial acceptance response. Check the venue directly when exact order or fill status matters.

Open limit orders appear as dashed green buy lines or red sell lines across the chart. Their label shows the venue, side, and remaining coin size. Left-click the boxed × on an order line to request cancellation. MattDOM refreshes account state after the venue accepts the request; the venue remains the final source of cancellation status.

Use CANCEL ALL to immediately cancel every open order for the displayed symbol on the venues selected under VENUES. This includes Bitunix TP/SL orders and does not show a confirmation prompt.

MattDOM reads supported pending orders for the selected symbol, including orders created outside MattDOM when the venue exposes them. Venue-prefixed labels identify their source. Gold TP and purple SL lines show Bitunix take-profit and stop-loss triggers. An arrow at the top or bottom means the order is outside the visible ladder; its exact price is printed in the label.

MattDOM gives every venue order a unique request ID. Subsequent valid clicks are captured in a FIFO queue and sent in order. The VENUES button shows the queued or in-flight count as Q1, Q2, and so on. The queue is memory-only and is cleared by closing or reloading the page.

6. Position and account display

MattDOM regularly refreshes account state, open positions, and pending orders for the selected symbol across connected venues.

For an open position:

  • A horizontal line marks average entry on the tick chart.
  • The price ladder highlights the area from entry to current price.
  • The label shows side, coin quantity, and unrealized PnL.

Use CLOSE POS to immediately close the first active derivatives position found on an enabled venue for the displayed symbol. It does not close Coinbase spot holdings and does not show a confirmation prompt. If several venues have positions, manage them directly at the exchanges rather than assuming one click closes all venue exposure.

There can be a short delay between exchange execution and the display update. Each venue is always the authoritative account record.

7. Leverage and position mode

The MODE selector applies to venues that expose one-way or hedge positioning through MattDOM, currently Bitunix and BloFin. A venue may block a mode change while positions or pending orders exist; close or cancel them first if the change is rejected.

Use LEV to enter whole-number leverage for the selected symbol, then select SET or press Enter. MattDOM applies this control to a selected supported derivatives venue, currently prioritizing Bitunix, then BloFin, then Hyperliquid. Other venues retain the leverage configured at the venue.

Use the venue directly when you need explicit reduce-only behavior, position-specific closing, take profit, stop loss, margin-mode changes, order modification, or any control not shown in MattDOM.

8. Execution safety checklist

Before the first click of every session:

  1. Confirm the intended symbol.
  2. Confirm the intended venues are enabled and show LIVE.
  3. Confirm the coin size and its notional value.
  4. Confirm whether the target row is above the spread or below it.
  5. Confirm whether you intend a market order or limit order.
  6. Check position mode, leverage, margin mode, and available balance at every selected venue.
  7. Keep each venue's application available as a backup for canceling orders or closing risk.

Do not execute from a paused or stale display. Avoid one-click execution if you are unsure of the selected size, account mode, or market conditions.

9. Multi-venue behavior and venue differences

All six venues use the same base-coin SIZE (COIN) field, click directions, and queued submission flow. However, the resulting products and account risks are not identical.

  • Coinbase is spot: sells require an available base-coin balance, and there is no derivatives leverage or hedge mode.
  • Bitunix, Nado, BloFin, Hyperliquid, and PopDex are derivatives venues with venue-specific collateral, leverage, margin, funding, and liquidation rules.
  • A selected venue that does not support the current symbol is skipped while the other available selected venues still receive their orders.
  • Acceptance, fill, cancellation, and position state are tracked independently per venue.
  • CANCEL ALL sends a separate cancellation request to every connected selected venue for the displayed symbol.

Multi-venue execution multiplies exposure. A size of 0.01 BTC with all six venues enabled can submit up to six separate 0.01 BTC orders. Always calculate total size across venues and across every row in a dragged ladder before releasing the mouse button.
